The general answer a student provides is JAVA IS A OBJECT ORIENTED PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE, PLATFORM INDEPENDENT LANGUAGE......... this answer will not please the corporate interviewer!!
the answer for thsi small definition which i learnt is the following!!!
"JAVA is one of the programming language/ technology treated as internet software and it is used in the industry for each and every application development but it becomes more popular for development of distributed applications by making use of client server architecture."
